Victoria Renee Knoebel Wommack
I began taking ballet at the age of 5 at the Repertory Dance Theater in El Paso, Texas. There I studied the Cecchetti Method and passed exams with highly commended honors. In 1989 I continued my ballet and modern dance education/career at the International Dance Theater where I was an apprentice then promoted to soloist in the IDT Company. I performed in shows including: The Diary of Anne Frank, Beauty and The Beast, Canyon Scape and 6 annual Holiday Gift Programs. When moving to Mesquite, Texas in 1998, I worked at Stars of Tomorrow Dance Studio teaching ballet, pointe, modern, tap/ballet preschool combo classes, as well as solos for the competition dancers and directed and choreographed "The Nutcracker" for the holiday seasons. I also traveled the DFW area with The Kids Dance Company teaching ballet/tap combo classes at various daycares. I later began teaching at Fantasia Dance Company where I have been teaching for the past 13 years, teaching ballet, pointe, modern, leaps and turns, drill prep and choreographing for their competition dance teams. My dancers have won several high honors and awards including choreography awards and many dancers have gone on to dance at schools such as: Booker T Washington HS, the modern company at Texas A & M, UT Austin, McLennan Community Dance Team and Stephen F. Austin University Dance teams. In addition to teaching, I am married and the proud mother of three children.
